Self-defense is a skill that Steven is well versed in. He has fought competitively for years and is trained as a mixed martial artist by trade. Most people usually try to avoid fights at all cost and take the higher road. Unfortunately during your incarceration you will be challenged by people who feel fighting is a symbol of status. In order for you to feel confident and secure, you will be "trained" as a fighter. You will be taught different tactics using your hands, feet, body, and mind to outsmart your aggressor. These techniques will secure your safety without jeopardizing your incarceration time. You will also earn the respect of others as well as maintain your own self-esteem.
Boxing - The art of using your hands and defense work.
• Kickboxing - The art of using your feet and legs for takedowns.
Aikido - The art of using your attackers energy against themselves.
Jujitsu - Takedown & submissive locks - the most effective way to fight.
Karate - Oriental skills and maneuvers that will stop a person in their tracks.
All of these methods and skills are obtainable and effective in survival of the fittest. Steven will provide you with the "cliff notes" approach to self-defense, instead of spending years learning each art. You will be taught the most valuable strategies of multiple disciplines that will protect and save your life in any situation.
